Shelby (Hair) (K)

My name is Shelby and I'm a seventeen year old senior in high school. Growing up with extremely curly hair, it was always a challenge for me to do my hair. I always thought my hair was too frizzy, too volumized, and too messy. I could never seem to find a good hair product, or good hairstyle that worked to tame my crazy hair. I would often get frustrated, and there were even times when I would just want to chop all of my hair off. I held out though, and I've had long hair for as long as I can remember. Throughout the years, my hair has changed from being ringlets, to waves, to almost completely straight hair now, and I have had to struggle with my hair through all of these changes. Even though it was a pain to get to where I am, I'm glad I kept my hair as long as I did, and was able to experiment with different hairstyles. Now I'll be able to help you find the right hairstyles that work on you.

My friend from school, Megan, and I have decided to combine our love for makeup and hair, and create a makeover blog. As a part of this, we will be posting tutorials on different makeup looks, as well as hairstyles. This isn’t going to be your typical tutorial though. Instead of Megan and I doing the makeover on each other, we are going to be doing it on different students in our high school. Students have signed up for this, and they had the chance to let us know if they wanted anything done specifically. We will be showing you a step-by-step process as to how we apply the makeup, as well as the steps required to get the desired hairstyle.

Blogs and vlogs will be posted alternatively, every Friday. Stick around if you are interested in learning some new make up looks and hairstyles from Megan and I!

Megan (Makeup) (K)

My name is Megan and I am a seventeen year old senior in high school. Growing up, I had always taken an interest in makeup. It didn't evolve into a passion of mine until I was in middle school, which is usually the time when girls start experimenting with makeup products and what makeup looks are suited for them. As a beginner in makeup, I struggled greatly figuring out what I liked on myself personally and what looked right. In order to come to a conclusion of what was right for me, I often watched makeup tutorials on YouTube and studied pictures in magazines to see exactly what the process was of creating the makeup looks. What began as just figuring out what looked good on my face turned into teaching others what is suited for them and multiple different looks.

Due to my passion for makeup, I have decided to collaborate with my friend from school, Shelby, and create a hair and makeup makeover blog. In this blog, we will be teaching you how to do appropriate makeup and hair looks for teenagers by filming tutorials. Instead of doing the tutorials on ourselves, we will be doing them on some kids in out high school. The kids who will be getting their hair and makeup applied are going to sign up and let us know exactly what makeup and hair look they would like to be taught how to do. For instance, a student may need help deciding what they want to do for prom. In that case, we will teach them how to complete their desired look and teach some of you in the process.

Blogs and vlogs will be posted alternatively, starting this week off with blogs every Friday and vlogs on the other days. Be sure to stay tuned to learn your favorite hair and makeup looks from Shelby and I!
